Rare quartz with inclusions of pyrophyllite, also known as “flower quartz”.
Pyrophyllite aggregates forming flowers crystallized on the rock surface and have been included in quartz crystal, so they actually occur on the surface of cut sample, not included completely in quartz.
All our cabochons with pyrophyllite have irregular base, corresponding to the rock surface, and “flowers” are observed from the other polished side of the stone.
